A walk to the beach
I really wanted to make it to the shore, but you can see where we abandoned the carriages and tried to walk the dunes. The stormy clouds were coming and Sharla & I just weren't sure how far we'd really get, instead we stopped and took a few photos. Some of these shots I just love; the colors blending of the blue ocean and the darkening sky.
Kathleen Zara arrived into this world on July 30, 07. Matt, Mary Rose (Matt's 16 year old sister)and I were all in Ft. Leavenworth Kansas waiting for her at St John's Hospital. Along with Zara's birth mother Chrissie and half brother Devonte, we enjoyed ourselves; getting to know each other better! Chrissie's labor was about 10 hours long and suddenly Zara was here! A few hectic & thrilling days later, on August 5th, Zara boarded her first plane home to Washington DC with her mommy and daddy! Chrissie is in Cuba with the US Army and Devonte is on base with his grandmother, Penny, in Kansas waiting for her return. We speak often and we are forever thankful to each other.
